The campaign is an initiative of Right to Food Bangladesh (RtF BD)\, an umbrella network comprising of civil society organizations and networks\, peasants’ organizations\, trade unions\, women organizations\, youth organizations\, researchers\, academia\, marginalized people and individual among others. Since inception besides countrywide campaign and policy advocacy on the Right to Food and Nutrition\, the network has been promoting multifaceted issues relevant to food. The event ‘Youth Symposium on Right to Food and Nutrition’ creates an opportunity for youth to share their opinions and experiences to advance the Right to Food and Nutrition movement by engaging themselves. The youth participants will initiate innovative activities to foster this event. The event is supported by ICCO Cooperation. \nCompetition: Thematic Write-up & Photography\nThe Youth Symposium intends to foster youth participation through their creative engagement in promoting right to food and nutrition. Thematic Write-up and Photography Competition is launched to encourage youth participation in this regard. \nTheme: ‘Right to Food & Nutrition for All’\nGuideline for Write –up: \nThe participants have to place their thoughts and opinions on the context of food and nutrition in Bangladesh and the necessity of ensuring right to food and nutrition for all. More than 500 representatives from different organizations and institutions will participate in the inauguration. RtF BD emerged with more than 800 local\, national\, international NGOs & networks\, civil society and different social organizations centering the grand event ‘South Asia Right to Food-SARF Conference 2015’ hosted in Dhaka\, Bangladesh. Since inception\, the network has been undertaking multifaceted activities with countrywide campaign and policy advocacy on right to food and nutrition\, social security program\, agriculture\, safe food\, water\, land\, food habit\, food crisis etc. including different relevant issues. The goal of RtF BD is to establish ‘Right to Adequate Food and Nutrition’. As its continual effort\, the network is conducting a country wide `Right to Food & Nutrition Campaign’ during July-December 2018 centering upcoming national parliamentary election. The campaign is demanding specific steps by government towards formulating the ‘Right to Food Act’ and commitment of political parties on incorporating ‘Right to Food Act’ in their Election Manifesto.
